About us

Portinatx Charter is a new boat rental company and the only one in the municipality of Sant Joan de Labritja. Founded in 2012, it is located on the north coast of Ibiza, offering access to the island’s most special and unspoiled areas. Portinatx Charter was created with the goal of showcasing Ibiza’s hidden treasures: turquoise waters, secluded coves surrounded by lush vegetation, wild landscapes, and a sense of tranquility that can only be experienced from the sea. The calm waters of Portinatx make it the ideal destination for nautical tourism enthusiasts.

We are a young company committed to providing the highest quality and comfort in navigation by partnering with top brands in the marine industry. Our fleet includes renowned names such as Zodiac, a leader in inflatable and semi-rigid boats, and Jeanneau, all equipped with Yamaha outboard engines.

Ibiza is made up of five municipalities: Eivissa (the capital), Santa Eulària des Riu, Sant Antoni de Portmany, Sant Josep de sa Talaia, and Sant Joan de Labritja. Each offers visitors unique yet complementary experiences. According to the 2007 census, the island’s population exceeds 117,000, though this number increases significantly during the summer months.

Portinatx, located in the municipality of Sant Joan, is the least populated area of Ibiza, with approximately 4,500 residents. This region is characterized by vast virgin forests and extensive rural landscapes where agriculture remains a way of life. Its mountains, marked by streams and stone terraces, offer an immersive natural experience, as do its dramatic cliffs and scenic coastline.

The municipality consists of four parishes: Sant Joan, Sant Miquel, Sant Vicent, and Sant Llorenç. These small villages are home to long-time locals as well as people from around the world who have chosen to settle in Ibiza’s peaceful countryside.

Sant Joan also shares with Sant Antoni the Es Amunts Special Interest Area, a region of great ecological value where unique flora and fauna thrive. The area is perfect for excursions, including visits to Balanzat’s defensive tower, the nearby Cova de Can Marçà, or the Es Culleram cave, where the most significant Punic archaeological discovery in Ibiza was made: the figure of the goddess Tanit.

The coastline is lined with stunning cliffs, interrupted by picturesque coves such as Benirràs, known for its bohemian vibe and drumming circles, Es Caló des Multons, Cala Xarraca, Es Caló d'en Serra, and Cala de Sant Vicent.
